Description:
Shay (now known as Baloo) is an amazing boy...so gentle and sweet! He has stunning good looks and a wonderful personality. He has never met a person he doesn't like, as long as you are willing to pet him! He is great with other dogs and loves hanging out with his foster brothers and will follow them everywhere! He absolutely adores going for walks and will dance around when he sees his leash. He loves his walks so much he tries to go as fast as he can, but is learning to not pull. He is house trained and excellent in the car. He has a gorgeous long haired coat that will need frequent brushing and/or grooming to make sure he stays soft and free of matts. Luckily, he loves being brushed and also enjoys water so baths are no problem. He knows sit and is working on shake and stay. He is learning 'off' and 'down' as he does jump on the bed and will sometimes jump on people but he is amazingly gentle even when he jumps on you. His tail curls over his body like a chow. The underside has a tan color and the rest if black so when it is over his back it is so pretty. This gentle boy just wants to be loved and is content to curl up with you and relax. Please consider taking him home as you new family pet. He is such a sweet and beautiful dog!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
