Hi...My name is  "Bo" , short for  "Bocelli". My foster parents named me after the famous opera singer because I pretty much sing all the time. That's because I am so happy to be safe, warm, loved  and fed. I'm not sure how I ended up out in the country. I thought we were just out for a scenic drive . Then the car stopped, the door opened and I must have fell out because the car kept going and I was left behind...cold, scared and all alone. I wandered around a while until night came. I found a yard with some tall grass and bushes that provided a spot to curl up and rest, hidden from dogs, fox and coyotes. The next week was pretty frightening. I was so hungry but didn't see a bowl of food anywhere. There was snow to lick but nothing to take away the hunger pains. Something told me to chase these little furrry critters but I wasn't much good at catching them. Besides , they were too cute to eat. So I sat out in the tall weeds and watched the people come and go from the house in the country yard. The lady that lived there looked pretty nice. Each day she brought food outside for the creatures with wings...birds I think they are called. I crept closer to get a better view. Bird seed doesn't taste very good. But it was warmer next to the house. So I started to hang out near the back door and one night the warmth and smells of home cooking were just too much to bare. So I took a chance and when the dogs from the house came out to walk in the yard, I made my move. I ran up to the brown dog and introduced myself and then made my plea to the lady of the house. I told her I was sooo hungry that I couldn't go on much longer. She understood and before I knew it I had a nice dish of chicken and a warm bowl of milk in my tummy. I thanked her and ran off into the night. I don't know why I did that. But the next day I went back and asked for more food. This time I was invited inside and I have been warm and safe ever since. The family is oh so nice. They already have two cats and two dogs but they said I may stay here until I find a home that will be all my own. I LOVE to be held, cuddle, and snuggle under chins...a very warm spot indeed. I get along with everyone, children and adults alike. And I like the company of the other animals, too. They say I am as soft as a bunny rabbit . And they really like my green eyes. I would love to make your life complete by becoming your  " forever friend". Please consider adopting me and I promise to love you for the rest of my life. Thanks,  Bo

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
