Kiwi is a very funny estimated to be around 2-year-old Chihuahua searching for her forever home. Kiwi was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived with over 60 other Chihuahuas. Kiwi is shy and fearful like many of the others in the home, but has been coming out of her shell and showing us how sweet she really is. Kiwi would enjoy a quiet home where she can be loved the way she deserves to be. Kiwi would prefer a home with older or dog savvy children as she can get nervous about handling and loud noises. She has been fostered in a home with other dog or various sizes and has had no issues. She will require a physical fenced yard as she has a tendency to be a flight risk out of fear. Kiwi needs a home with people who are understanding of her situation and are willing to take time to gain her trust. Kiwi is not potty trained but does use potty pads and is doing well with them, with consistent training she could become house trained without the need of potty pads. Chihuahuas are very loyal and devoted and can become great companions when comfortable with you. Kiwi will take time to warm up and will need help learning how to be a "dog" but in the end shows great potential. If Kiwi sounds like the girl for you please submit an application. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
