Description:
Piglet is a 6 year old Purebred Boston Terrier. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm tested negative. Piglet is being fostered in Kalamazoo and must be adopted from this location so please consider this when applying.

This beautiful girl was dropped off at her foster moms vet clinic after being attacked by what we believe to be a coyote. She is a tough little thing and has made an incredible recovery.

Piglet weighs 27 pounds and is a Brachycephalic breed. Breed experience (or experience with Brachycephalic breeds) would be preferred for her. Or someone with a lot of dog experience that has done their research on short nosed breeds. She is a snoring machine and she will be more prone to overheating quicker than other dogs.

This sweet girl is house trained. She enjoys exploring fenced yards or is happy to go out on a leash. We would really like to see her go to a home with a fenced yard as she does really enjoy running around to chase the ball, roll in tall grass, and relax outside. However, she is not a huge fan of walks.

Piglet is good with other respectful dogs though she does not care when dogs get in her face especially when she is resting on the couch or bed with her people. So any dogs in the home should be respectful of her space. A more mellow dog that has a similar personality would be fine. Piglet absolutely loves cats and is great with them. We suspect she would be fine with respectful gentle children as she loves absolutely everyone.

This sweet girl would love to find a forever family that will love and cherish her always. She is an incredibly sweet little dog and will make a wonderful companion for just about any home.

If you have any questions that were not answered in her bio, please feel free to email her foster mom at kelli.grazi@yahoo.com otherwise if you are interested, please feel free to submit an application as this will be required of anyone looking to adopt her.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
