In just a couple days she is starting to settle in and trust me on more levels. Tina is a very petite girl and is fast as can be!! She was a little timid at first but now her personality is starting to come out. She likes to play with stuffed things (my kids prefer she sticks to her toys though :o) , so if you have some you don't want her to carry away make sure they are put up. She walks well on a lead and still is quiet as ever although I almost heard a bark last night. It was the most active I saw her yet when she went for a flying bug outside the screen door, you would have thought it was a rabbit or squirrel. She likes to chew on the rawhide bone but shows no aggression with food or treats with my dog or kids. She was a snacker, but now is eating when served (I had to take away if she didn't eat because my dog is a little piggy). She is very gentle with treats, my kids give both dogs their treats in the morning before we go for the day. My kids are 5 and 3 and she has tolerated them well, even when they have pulled her the way "they" want her to go. She would love to sleep with you in bed, but I have a no dog in my bed rule (allergies), so a simple "off" sends her off and running up the hall, she is REALLY a fast dog. With training and time I bet she would make a great fly ball dog, she is very treat motivated. She does have the beagle in her, but surprisingly again no barking. I can see it in the way she walks and jumps though. She has two cute front white legs that prance in the morning dew, again very petite and slender. I think Tina would benefit from a home with another dog, as she lights up when my dog follows her out. My dog is older though, but still you can still see the tag wag when see gets sight of her. At night, Tina sleeps in the dog room with my dog that is baby gated. She sleeps in her bed out there all night with no whining or issues. She wakes up happy and ready for a tummy rub. She now sleeps in her bed in the living room too, and as long as it is right there she will sleep in it verses getting on the couch. She will make a very good dog for someone that wants a little lover of a dog. Tina weighs about 18 pounds . Her adoption fee is $200

I was also told she has been microchipped, since she is likely a run-away (stray to shelter). She will need a fenced in yard because of this as she is still learning her name and doesn't come well when called. She now comes to the door just fine, to come in, when you have given her adequate roaming time to smell the flowers

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
