Description:
Hi! My name is Helix but I'm also known as Zeus. My foster mom thinks I am a very loving, energetic and smart boy. My idea of a wonderful day is to chase a ball around my fenced in yard in order for me to run off my "zoomies", go for walks and chew on my chew toys. Then I love to come inside and snuggle on the couch with my people while watching TV. My foster mom is impressed that I only chew on my toys, not hers. I like to get to know people and other dogs slowly, but after about 5 to 10 minutes I count them among my best friends. I'm ok with my foster mom's grandchildren visiting but I would do best in a home with no young children.
I do really well in my crate when my people are gone. I am really good at sleeping all night on the dog bed by their bed. I am proud to say I have never had an accident in the house!
My foster mom thinks I would do really well with some formal training. I do know how to sit and I do come when called (unless I am really interested in something else). I don't pull on a leash but my foster Dad says it's like walking a mosquito (there are so many interesting sniffs around!)....so some leash training would be good too. I love watching the neighbor dogs play in their backyards and I never bark at them, even though they bark at me.

Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
