Description:
Slurpey has interesting tale of how this pennsylbanis dog ended up in our rescue. One of our volunteers was traveling in Pennsylvania this past weekend , she was driving on tthe toll road when she spotted this boy wandering on and off the highway. She stopped to try to get him . Right behind her a toll road police car pulled up and said there had been numerour calls about him and his sibling who was killed on Saturday by a car. She loaded him in her car and brought him to Michigan as there were no tags or a collar on him , apparently his wonderful owner of him and his sister dumped them there . All the way back here he was licking her face and her passengers, so he was given the name of Slurpy. He is a really great dog , knows some commands, is attentive and you can tell he loves to please people. Slurpy is a lab/flat coated retriever mix of about 9 months, weighs 50 pounds, seems housebroke, and does well on a leash. He will make a great family pet to give you pleasure for years to come., His adoption fee is $200.
ADOPTION FEE IS $200.00
A Note from Last Day Dog Rescue: This wonderful dog is just one of many in our care right now. Your sponsorship will help us provide shelter, food, vetting and tender loving care for our dogs until they find new loving homes. Adoption fees do not cover our expenses, so your sponsorship will make a positive impact on our organization and especially on our dogs’ well being. We are not a chapter or affiliate of any national animal organization. We are, moreover, very grateful for your generosity. Please click to sponsor this great dog! Thank you!
*DISCLAIMER: We at Last Day Dog Rescue cannot and do not guarantee breed or age of its dogs/puppies listed with us for adoption. We depend on opinions from shelter staff and veterinarians among others to provide us with their best assessments regarding both breed and approximate age to the best of their ability.
*PLEASE NOTE: We rescue our dogs from shelters and pounds. Most often we do not have background or history information on them. In the event any information is given to us, we will include that in the dogs profile.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Slurpy-PENDING (click to see larger version):
