MEET PHOENIX!

Phoenix is a great little girl who could get a job as the worlds best alarm clock! Altho she sleeps in the living room of her foster home, when she hears the alarm clock go off in the morning, she's off and running! She will come in and nuzzle next to you and will play and give kisses to wake you up! So forget the snooze button! She is very intelligent and knows many commands some of which she has taught herself! Her favorite toy is a stuff squirrel that she likes to carry around and a favorite game of hers to play is catching tennis balls! She also likes to give hugs!! She is housebroken and doesn't chew things she shouldn't. Phoenix in fact loves children and will play gently with younger ones and becomes more playful with the bigger kids! Phoenix is a jokster, the clown of all our dogs and has a great sense of humor!

Phoenix is about 25 pounds of prettiness and joy in such a small body! Phoenix was saved literally by a phone call. She was strapped down on the table with the needle about to be given to her to be put down when 2 dogs came into the shelter all tangled up. The officer stopped what he was going to do to her to untangle the dogs when our rescue called to say we would take her and that call saved her by a few mere seconds!! She deserves a home where she won't have to worry about anything like this ever again! Phoenix does know how to climb a fence so we would suggest either privacy fencing or ariel line for this girl. She will not run away and will stay put but is able to climb. Phoenix loves to play with other dogs and people and will be such a wonderful, loving, and fun new member of your family. She is such a perfect size and personaility! Please contact us soon to meet her!

A Note from Last Day Dog Rescue: This wonderful dog is just one of many in our care right now. Your sponsorship will help us provide shelter, food, vetting and tender loving care for our dogs until they find new loving homes. Adoption fees do not cover our expenses, so your sponsorship will make a positive impact on our organization and especially on our dogs’ well being. We are not a chapter or affiliate of any national animal organization. We are, moreover, very grateful for your generosity. Please click to sponsor this great dog! Thank you!

*DISCLAIMER: We at Last Day Dog Rescue cannot and do not guarantee breed or age of its dogs/puppies listed with us for adoption. We depend on opinions from shelter staff and veterinarians among others to provide us with their best assessments regarding both breed and approximate age to the best of their ability.

*PLEASE NOTE: We rescue our dogs from shelters and pounds. Most often we do not have background or history information on them. In the event any information is given to us, we will include that in the dogs profile.

*YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO APPLY FOR AN ADOPTION.

*WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF STATE.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
