Description:
![]() Dear Santa Paws, My name is Molly, kinda nice huh? I was told I am probably a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. Pretty neat huh? I'm about 2 years old now so I don't chew things I'm not allowed to and am smart enough to understand when I'm told no! Now honestly, I know I am not the prettiest bulb on the tree, or the most decorated cookie on the plate, but my foster parents tell me I am very beautiful, so I feel more pretty each and every day! Santa, I know I am a little rough around the edges, for instance, I have very big feet that don't quite fit the rest of me, but I only need to fill out not get bigger! I think 70 pounds is a good weight for me so I only need a couple more to look my best! I also am missing the very tip of my tail! Can you believe that? I don't remember what happened to it but mom says it makes me unique! So I like that! I also have some spots on me that mom and dad say are probably from my travels and adventures. Wow, I must really have a story to tell! I'm told I was found as a stray and was at the shelter a very long time cause they really loved me there and wanted to give me a chance and hoped that a rescue would come save me before it was too late. See dreams can come true! I am safe and getting happier everyday! So ok, I think this will be my first real Christmas with a tree and the works! I know you bring presents to good boys and girls and I'm working real hard to be on that list this year! My foster mom says that I have a little toy problem because I just LOVE toys so much! I can play with them all by myself and have the best time throwing and chasing them! I even do some silly antics during play cause I just have so much fun! But when my foster siblings want to play with me, well, sometimes I take issue with that cause I think they are all mine! So now I can only play with toys if I share and am really trying hard and making progress. I still like to hide them sometimes cause I don't ever want to be without toys! I'm ok with food and sharing my water bowl tho but mom says I eat like nothing she's seen before! But that's what being in a shelter does to a dog so someday I hope to really enjoy my meals more slowly! I am a housedog and love to sleep on the couch if you put a blanket on there for me. I'll be sleeping very soundly in my crate on Christmas Eve as I do everynight. I learned to ring a bell to go outside but need to go when I signal, I may pace around some too, so my new family shouldn't wait long to open the door, but I haven't had any accidents yet! I used to live 'up north' they tell me, so makes sense to me that some city noises are new and strange to me and sometimes they startle me, but I'll be a city girl in no time! I have 3 fur siblings that I do good with and would love to have a handsome brother in my new home, sisters would be ok too, but I think the boys are better, cause I'm working real hard on being the best girl ever! Santa Paws, do you think along your journeys should you come upon a home that really needs a dog in it, you will think of me and let me know? I'll be ready and if that is all I get for Christmas you will make my life complete! Love, Molly Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Molly (click to see larger version):
