MEET KELSO!

Kelso is just a great joy. He absolutely loves people! He's the type of dog that always has to be touching you for security. If someone is looking for a snuggle type dog Kelso is the one! Hes just a big baby!! Kelso does not jump and knows his basic commands, loves walks and does not pull, he does not chew. He does well with cats and stays off furniture altho he will sleep in your bed if you let him! Kelso is very laid back and will do well with children. He does have some seperation anxiety but is getting better with daily repetition,training, and love, this will have to be a continued work in progress in his new home. Kelso is about 2 years old and is a German Shorthaired Pointer mix with some setter thrown in. He weighs about 45 pounds and is housebroken altho he will have to continously worked on with this in his new home til he gets famiiar with where he is supposed to go. He is very affectionate as well. He really is a people pleaser. Kelso would highly benefit from doggie training. He would do best in a home where he won't be alone too much. Kelso can't be crated and is going to require a very experienced and patient person to help him along with the progess he has made to this point. He can be destructive if left alone due to his seperation issues.

We depend on opinions from shelter staff and veterinarians among others to provide us with their best assessments regarding both breed and approximate age to the best of their ability.

*PLEASE NOTE: We rescue our dogs from shelters and pounds. We do not have background or history information on them. In the event any information is given to us, we will include that in the dogs profile.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.
