MEET ARCHIE!

ARCHIE NEEDS A NEW FOREVER HOME IMMEDIATELY! PLEASE HELP HIM!

Archie came from a gassing Ohio pound with his friend Ariel. Archie is a a very nice, quiet boy. Archie is about 12 years old and altho we pray he has lots of time left, due to his age and heart murmur, we simply don't know. What we do know is that Archie needs and very much deserves to get to his forever home and special someone who will love him unconditionally for whatever length of time he has left. Archie also has stiff back legs due to arthritis so he enjoys just laying around being petted and watching TV with you. Currently, he is at the Animal Activity Center in Clinton Twp (586-412-3900) and is feeling depressed and scared. He must get into a permanent home immediately! Archie is a very gentle, quiet and affectionate loving boy. He is a tail wagger too! He eats well and does enjoy playing a little. We hope and pray his special someone will come along soon to take him in to live out the rest of his life being loved and doted upon. The rescue is willing to help for 6 months with the cost of his meds for both heart and arthirits and he does have a special adoption fee.

Ariel is also in special need of a forever home and if you would consider both these precious loving souls, please contact us immediately! Ariel is about 4-5 years old and apparently has suffered some abuse/neglect in her past and is very scared and shy. She will cower when approached but has come along way since we first got her. She now feels secure and safe enough to be petted and given attention while on a bed, so she finds this a neutral safe place and really opens up to people. She too will require a special dedicated person who understands this and is willing to give her the patience she requires but we are certain with the right person, she will thrive.

A Note from Last Day Dog Rescue: This wonderful dog is just one of many in our care right now. Your sponsorship will help us provide shelter, food, vetting, and tender loving care for our dogs until they find new loving homes. Adoption fees do not cover our expenses, so your sponsorship will make a positive impact on our organization and especially on our dogs’ well being. We are not a chapter or affiliate of any national animal organization. We are, moreover, very grateful for your generosity. Please click to sponsor this great dog! Thank you!

*DISCLAIMER: We at Last Day Dog Rescue cannot and do not guarantee breed or age of its dogs/puppies listed with us for adoption. We depend on opinions from shelter staff and veterinarians among others to provide us with their best assessments regarding both breed and approximate age to the best of their ability.

*PLEASE NOTE: We rescue our dogs from shelters and pounds. We do not have background or history information on them. In the event any information is given to us, we will include that in the dogs profile.

*YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO APPLY FOR AN ADOPTION.

*WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF STATE.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
