Description:
Hi, I am Celeste.
My foster mom says I am a very sweet girl with natural beauty.
Every time I give her my biggest teethy smile it makes her smile too and she thinks my deep, dark eyes can speak to your soul.
She gives me lots of extra lovin’ because I came to Last Day Dog Rescue after going hungry for a very long time and she suspects I wasn’t treated very nicely. Everything is better now. I am gaining weight and everyone I meet is so nice to me. I’m not used to that yet so I am taking things slow while I regain confidence and trust.
I am still figuring out how to enjoy toys and Kongs but I what I really like is going on walks and I am very good at it! I stay right next to my foster mom and never, ever pull on the leash. When she stops, I stop until I know what we are doing next. I notice squirrels, rabbits and other small animals but I don’t even bother trying to investigate them. I can do a very good sit and stay and I always come when I’m called. I am learning that “come” is ok and I get praise when I get there but for some reason that command still makes me a little nervous. I always listen carefully to figure out what I am supposed to do so my foster mom says I definitely aim to please. Because I am fairly new to Last Day Dog Rescue I haven't had a chance yet to let them know how I feel about other dogs or cats. My foster mom has introduced me to lots of kids though and I like the big ones and the medium-sized ones but the small ones are very scary to me, so I hide. My litter of puppies have gone off to happy homes so it is finally my turn to try out all the fun things that dogs get to do. My foster mom says whoever meets me first won’t be able to walk away because I am such a good girl, so she offers a word of caution: if you want to meet me, make sure you are ready for your heart to instantly turn to mush. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Ps Litter - Celeste (mom) - ADOPTED 08.29.19 (click to see larger version):
