Hi, my name is Twizzler but my foster mom likes to call me “Cookie” because I am just so sweet! I love attention and can be a little demanding in the most adorable way. I am very wiggly and like to give hugs, wrapping my little paws around your waist. I love to snuggle and when I am really excited I do an impressive pirouette, just like a ballerina. I am good with other dogs and with children. When I first come into your home, I will be unsure about things, a little scared and nervous. Please keep me in a smaller safe area to begin with, so I don't get overwhelmed. When I sleep in my crate I prefer that its door open. Otherwise, I also like to sleep at the foot of the bed with my human or on the floor right next to their bed. I have been told I am heartworm positive and that it is not a good thing. I have begun treatment and should be okay within six months. After that, I will need to be spayed because getting rid of the heartworms is a higher priority. But don't worry, the lovely people at Last Day Dog Rescue will pay for my heartworm and spay procedure. All I will need is a home to call my own where I can stay calm during my treatments. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
