Hi, my name is I’m Rooney! I’m about 2 and a half years old and I’m a pitbull terrier mix. I am a very sweet girl and very well behaved: I know how to sit and come, I am great in the car, know how to walk on a leash, take treats nicely, good in the bath and I am crate trained and potty trained. I love people and am friendly with other dogs too! I like to say hi to people who pass by our yard. My favorite thing to do is take naps and cuddle with my foster mom and dad. Sometimes I’ll jump on you a little to let you know how much I love you. I just want all the attention you can give me. You’ll know I’m a happy girl because I have the biggest, prettiest smile out there!
I love to eat treats and chew on bones, but sometimes I get jealous when my foster brothers have bones and I forget my manners. I can be kind of bossy with them too (but hey, aren’t all brothers annoying?) I’m still learning how to share toys and food so I’ll need my furever family to keep working on that with me if there are other doggies in the house.
I would do best in a home where I can be around my family and cuddle all day long. I get sad sometimes when my foster parents leave to go to work. Because I love to relax so much, I would prefer a quieter home with older kids so I can get all my naps in. I am such a sweet girl who wants all your love and affection.
My foster parents can’t believe I ended up at a shelter because I’m such a good girl, and frankly neither can I! I promise you’ll love me as soon as you meet me. I hope I can join your family soon!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
