Description:

Hi, I’m PINKY!  Can you guess why the shelter folks gave me that name?    My foster mom thinks my name should be Pearl, because I’m a real Gem.  I’m brand new to foster, but I’ll let her tell you what she’s discovered about me since my arrival.

Pink, Pinky Pie, Pinky Tuscadero…take your pick.  Whatever you name this compact bundle of love, you will be rewarded with a floppy grin, a very wiggly butt and waggy tail.

For a pit bull, Pinky is on the small side,  standing two feet from head to floor.   A healthy two years old, she has a very gentle disposition, and plays with an adorable puppy-like clumsiness.

A real cuddlebug:  her dream day could be lazing at your feet on the sofa, snoring away the hours.  When you rise, she’ll follow with her sleepy eyes as you go about your business.  She’ll soon return to snoring, perhaps dreaming of the treats she takes so gently, the walks she’s getting better on, the dogs she’s been romping with, or the next comfy place she can snuggle.

As she was at the shelter a while, she is very crate shy but we are working slowly to make her comfortable, as she should be crated when her owner(s) are out of the house.

She’d be an ideal first time pet or flourish as a companion to another dog,

She is calm on car rides, for baths, and gets along with the dogs she has met so far.    She has not had an opportunity to meet kids, cats, or other pets yet, so it’s uncertain how she’ll react.  Generally she’s an all around adorable little girl.  If you’d like to meet her, apply online at lastdaydogrescue.org.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
