Description:

Hello, I'm an adorable Terrier mix that would love to find a forever home. Sadly, my previous owners didn't understand the “Terrier” way of life and I found myself at a shelter. That was a scary place. So, I'm going to explain a bit about myself and my Terrier nature, to see if you and I are a good fit. Let me start by telling you I'm a spunky, happy, and loving little dog. I'm already house and crate trained., so that's a bonus. I love to go for walks! I enjoy sniffing out my surroundings on a walk and trying to discover who's been there before me. My foster mom is trying to teach me that even though I get very excited on a walk, I need to use my manners and not pull her down the street with all my might. I have lots of energy, so I need to be walked at least once daily. I hope you enjoy walking too! In typical Terrier fashion, I also want to chase any critter I see and tend to vocalize (bark) at things I see or hear outside. This is just who I am and I can't help myself. Can you handle me getting excited at things and barking? I hope so. My second favorite thing besides walks is playing with toys. My favorite toys are ropes to tug with and squeaky toys to chase and shake. Playing with my toys makes me happy. Once I'm all tired out from playing and going on a walk, I like to jump up and take a nap near you. I currently live with 3 teenagers (13, 14, and 16) who I truly enjoy being around. They play and spend time with me, so I give them kisses in return. I've never lived with kids of any age before but these 3 are fine with me. I've also never lived with dogs before. Maybe I wasn't socialized properly with other dogs or maybe I had a negative experience with a dog from my past. Regardless, you should know that living with another dog makes me uncomfortable and I tend to get snippy and protective. I might become more comfortable with the right training but for now, I'd prefer to be the only dog in your life. I promise I will bring you lots of joy and you won't need another dog. If I sound like the perfect dog for you, quirks and all, please fill out an application. I can't wait to find my forever home!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
