Description:
Hi! I’m Bryson. I’m three years old – more or less – my foster mom isn’t exactly sure how old I am. I was at Detroit Animal Care and Control until Last Day Dog Rescue rescued me and now I'm in a foster home. I’ve only been there a week or so, but my foster mom tells me what a good boy I am all the time, so I’m doing something right! I eat in my crate and don’t mind being crated. However, I would prefer to be with you, on your lap, giving you kisses.
I must have belonged to humans at some point as my ears are cropped. I have not demonstrated any food or toy aggression and will let you pet me while I eat. I do love toys, especially ones I can pull the stuffing out of. I like to play tug-a-war with toys but I need a little coaching on being gentle as I get so excited to play!! My foster parents have this cool bike attachment so I can follow along when they ride their bikes. My foster dad says I trot at about 8 miles an hour consistently. I appear to like exercise and I will need it as I will be a big boy. I’m currently 50 pounds, but my foster mom thinks that I will probably gain another 20 to 30 pounds when I’m back to my correct weight. I love people, but as I don’t know my own size and might knock them down, so I would do best with children who are older. I get along well with my dog-foster sister. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs and cats. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
