Description:

Introducing Swoosh. Swoosh was a stray who came from a rural shelter where space runs out quickly. He is a friendly little guy, very much a typical young puppy. He is teething so likes to chew on things (I steer him to bones and toys), loves his food, playing with the other dogs, and snuggles.

Swoosh (nickname Buddy) has learned sit, wait, and catch. He is doing well with learning fetch, not only with a ball but with his toys too. He is good with the crate being “his place” where he eats and sleeps (next to other dogs). He sleeps through the night.

I have started taking him to another foster’s house two days/week for daycare. There he can have up to 9 other dogs of all ages and sizes to play with and learn proper dog behavior. He enjoys playing with other friendly dogs.

He sure is a cutie and just needs to learn how to be a great dog citizen. He would enjoy a home where his person is around most of the time. Another dog to play with is a bonus.

Applicants with puppy experience and/or willing to enroll him in an obedience class will be given preference.

For more information contact his foster Denise at   deemworden@gmail.com  .

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
