Description:
Stitch is a very nice senior beagle mix who just wants to find a spot to curl up next to you.  Somehow he ended up a stray, which landed him in the pound. After spending several weeks curled up on a hard, concrete floor, he is enjoying the comforts of his home. He has very soft fur and loves to be petted, especially on his chest. He is very laid back and gets along great with kids and dogs.

Don’t let the senior in him fool you, he still has lots of zest and will romp around with the other dog in his house. He really seems to like kids, and cuddles up to the 6-year-old that lives in his foster home.

He has a serious expression and will look at you intently when you are talking to him, as if he is listening really hard. It maybe that he is trying to read your  lips because he is actually hard of hearing. His hearing causes no hardships in his foster home. He can be rather comical as he tries to situate himself and get comfortable. His front paws turn in ever so slightly, giving him cute stance.

When outside he likes to put his nose to the ground and smell, smell, smell. He does well on a leash, he is housetrained and crate trained.  He’d love the chance to be someone’s pet again.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are  between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
