A LDDR volunteer wrote a
poem for our dogs needing adoption. I thought you all
might like to read it.
A Dog's Hope
This just might be
my lucky day,
Or maybe it is yours!
I'm looking for for a family,
To come right through
these doors.
I'll wag my tail,
I'll lick your hand,
Or simply sit and wait.
I really need somebody's love-
It's in the hands of fate.
My life has not been easy;
I thought that it was over.
But Last Day Rescue
saved me,
Now I'm rolling in the clover.
My foster home is really great,
My "parents" love me too.
But it's only temporary,
I sit waiting here for you.
My friends and I have stories,
That just might make you cry.
Some were abandoned,
some were lost,
Most were about to die.
Some were victims of
hard times,
Some were just abused.
Some had owners go to heaven,
And left us sad and confused.
Our second chance is up to you;
Please find it in your heart,
To take us in, give us a home,
and give us our new start.
