Good with a computer? Help by printing and passing out fliers about LDDR! Always need a good designer to make up LDDR fliers - Help raise money! Come to the event and have a simple fundraiser; Craft Sale, bake sale, etc. and have proceeds benefit LDDR. Must be approved by the facility first, please touch base with the event host for approval. Most of LDDR dog are in foster homes but there are few that are waiting to get into a foster home and we work with local kennels who help look over them with volunteers until a foster or forever home comes. Please consider helping these dogs get more exposure and take them to events all you have to do is Contact kennel leaders to get approved to stop by the kennels *KENNEL CODE- This will reference which kennel the dogs are in on our website under Animal Needing Foster. Become familiar with your LDDR dog that you are bring to the event. Ok with cats, dogs, kids? Special needs? Please be prepared to be the spokesperson and advocate for the LDDR dog you decide to bring, you are their voice! Please have a bio printed for the dog you are bringing so you can hand them out to potential applicants. We ask that all LDDR dogs try to attend at least one event per month. This is a great opportunity to give the foster a chance for a permanent home. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times or in their crate. You should bring a leash, a crate, a toy or something to keep your LDDR animal occupied and a copy of your animals vaccination records to the event. QUARANTINE PERIOD REMINDER Adult dogs received into rescue are under a minimum 10 day quarantine period and are only able to attend events or go to adoption once this period is complete. Exceptions to this may be presented to the Board for review and approval. Not only does this help protect from spreading any diseases, but it also gives us time to learn the dog's behaviors and personality. ** PLEASE NOTE: Puppies are NOT to be at LDDR events any sooner than 5 days after their 2nd round of vaccines. Even then, the puppy is not considered to be fully protected until the 3rd round of vaccines are given.
