Howdy y’all! I’m Yuki, a 4-year-old Maltese mix. I was found wandering the streets of Detroit and was lucky enough to land in a wonderful foster home!

While living with my foster family, I’ve discovered that I love cuddling with my humans. I’m happiest snuggled up on the couch or bed, just relaxing and enjoying the moment. I’m not super interested in toys, but I do get small bursts of energy—if something is nearby, I might shake it around and zoom around for a bit!

I walk on a leash, though I could use a little more training to stay to one side since I sometimes like to weave around and accidentally trip my humans.

I am extremely food-motivated! I love my meals so much that I use a slow feeder bowl. I enjoy almost all treats and am learning to sit and wait patiently until I’m released to eat.

I do well with other dogs as long as they aren’t right up in my face, and I would benefit from slow introductions—especially with larger dogs. Cats are totally fine with me too; I don’t mind them at all.
