​Meet Gretel!  Gretel is a hilarious, adorable, and endlessly entertaining 2-year-old pup who’s still figuring out grown-up dog life. She may look mature, but her puppy energy shines through in everything she does—she loves to zoom around, play, and will happily shower anyone she trusts with hugs and kisses.

Gretel is still mastering her manners, including housebreaking and learning not to mouth hands or jump when she's excited. She’s looking for a dog-savvy adopter who understands the complexities of resource guarding and can help her continue to blossom.  Gretel can take a little time to warm up—especially to men—but once she feels safe, you’ll enjoy her incredibly sweet, silly personality every single day.

Gretel will thrive with an owner who’s patient, experienced, and ready for both her joys and her challenges. She’ll reward you with affection, loyalty, and endless laughter as she grows into her best self.

Due to her playful energy and occasional resource guarding, Gretel would do best in a home without children under 12 and is also not recommended for homes with cats.
