"Are you looking for an energetic young dog who loves giving kisses and chasing balls but also loves to snuggle on the couch?  I'm your girl!

My background is a bit of a mystery as I was found in the backyard of the people who surrendered me to Last Day Dog Rescue.  I spent about 2 weeks with them and their two dogs.  I loved the frequent visits by their seven grand kids of all ages.  They named me Angel because I was such a good girl.

I am now with my foster folks at LDDR who think I am a sweet, loving pooch.  The veterinarian says she thinks I am part boxer, shepherd, bull terrier, and perhaps a little mastiff.....so basically a lovable mutt.  My age is also a mystery but between one and two years old would be a good guess.  I am probably as heavy as I am going to get (unless I get to have lots of the snacks I love) and would be considered a medium size dog at 48 pounds.  I never have had an accident in the house but I don't let my needs known, so my people let me out whenever I approach the back door.  I sleep all night long with only an occasional snore.

I usually walk nicely on a leash and I never react or bark at the neighborhood dogs who bark at me.  I love to play with dogs and have never growled or fought with any dog I have met.  I do have a high prey drive when it comes to the deer, squirrels and birds I see outside so I need a physical fenced in yard.  I am a brave girl when my fosters leave me alone.  I never chew on anything that isn't mine and I don't behave badly when they are gone.  But what a celebration when they return!  I am so happy that my wagging tail looks like it could get me airborn!  I love when my foster's grandchildren come to visit, I am so excited to see them but have never been too rough or knocked them over.

I love boating, swimming, hiking, playing ball and tug of war, snuggling and giving kisses.

My fosters have been working with me on basic training like sit, stay, come and lay down.  They think I am very smart.  I am afraid of new people who want to tower over me and pet me.  I am more comfortable if they ignore me and let me take my time getting used to them.  I have started taking some medications to help with this stranger anxiety and they seem to be helping.

My fosters feel the perfect home for me would be a home with another slightly older dog that can show me that strangers can be okay.  A fenced in yard and people who are patient with my stranger anxiety would be awesome."
