Description:
Alexandria is a VERY sweet girl and LOVES everyone! We call her Lexie. She's about 33 lbs right now & probably won't get much bigger, maybe 40 lbs when she's done growing. She is a very friendly, happy pup. She's done great with everyone she's met... adults, big kids, little kids, other dogs. She has not been cat tested, but as sweet as she is, I can't imagine her not getting along with a cat. Lexie is a little cuddlebug & a very sweet girl. She's doing well with potty training, & sleeps in her crate at night without pottying in it. She cries for a few minutes when she first goes to her crate, but then settles down just fine. She loves Nylabones! She will run around the house & collect them all & put them in a pile & takes turns chewing on each one. She likes to steal them from the other dogs as soon as they aren't looking too. It's like a game for her! But if the other dogs want them back, she lets them take them back without problems. She also likes plushy squeaky toys. Lexie was rescued from a shelter, where she was to be euthanized due to severe demodex mange. Demodex is very treatable & is not catchy to people or other dogs. Her mange is being treated & her fur is filling in nicely. She's going to be a beautiful litle girl! Once her demodex tests come back clean, she'll be ready to be spayed.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
