Description:

Meet Archer. He is a young super friendly bassett/doxie mix! He loves to play, run, and take walks. He loves to play with other dogs so would do great in a home with another dog. He has shown no aggression towards food, toys, other dogs, or people/kids. He does like to chase squirrels though and has yet to meet any kitties! Archer is house trained and crate trained. He would prefer to be out of his crate and be with his family so he does bark for the 1st 10-15min in the crate then settles down.

Archer also is very calm in the car. We took over an hour drive to Harsens Island without any whining, barking, or accidents in the car! he just sat or laid down.

Archer is up to date on his vaccines, he is heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. Archer will need a strong owner and training due to his play biting habit. He thinks everyone is another dog he can wrestle and nip at which will need time and patience to get rid of!

Archer would make a great addition to any family!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
