Hello! My name is Destiny. I didn't have the greatest start to life, I somehow ended up at the pound and was thrown into a back room where I wasn't even given the chance to be adopted. I heard they have an 80% kill rate! So I was really lucky to make it out of there alive.
But it is onwards and upwards from here! My foster home promised me that everything was going to be alright now and I really believe that! I like to sit in people's laps, I am told that I am a very sweet girl. I am a very small girl, the pound thought I was actually 4 months old! That's how small I am! That might be because I didn't get much to eat very early on in my life, but that's ok now. I will be small forever but doesn't that just make me cuter? A popular name for cats like me is "¾ cat", so basically I am just like a kitten forever! I use my litter box and haven't had any accidents. I also know how to use my scratching posts! I get along great with dogs, there is a large dog in foster care with me and I don't mind her at all. I am a really good girl everyone tells me, I just want a chance. I want a lap to sit on and someone to love me as much as I love them. And most of all, I just want a forever home. Do you think that you can offer that to me? I promise to sleep on the bed with you every night and give you kisses when you are sad. Please consider coming to meet me, I'd love to meet you! My foster home has gotten to know me more and they found out that I am a bit intimidated by adult cats in my foster home. To be honest, they attacked me the times I was let out with them so my foster parents understand why I am scared. Sometimes when I am scared (because of the adult cats) I act out in fear. I think a home without adult cats would be best OR a home with really calm adult cats that will not attack me. I think I would like another cat to play with as long as they won't hurt me. I LOVE the kittens in foster care, I play with them all the time. If you have a kitten, I would be the perfect addition, or if you want to adopt me and add a kitten friend in the future, that would be perfect too! I need an understanding home, my foster mom says I have some catitude. Honestly, she thinks as long as I feel safe in my new home, I will be the perfect pet. I just really need someone to give me a chance. Because it is kitten season (despite being the size of a kitten) I am very often overlooked. I understand, the kittens are so cute and fun… but they grow up too. I deserve to have a home to feel safe in. My foster parents love me but they know that I wouldn't be happy here for the rest of my life. They know a better home is out there somewhere, I just need to find that special someone. To sum it all up, I think that I would make someone a great companion! The photos of me aren't the best, I like to blink a lot in my photos. I promise I am beautiful in real life though! The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs/cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog/cat. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
