Description:

Chia-T is 5.3lbs of Pomeranian Princess! She was found wandering the streets by a caring person who knew she needed to be saved. She is now with LDDR and in search of her fur-ever home. Could your lap be the spot for her?

Chai is estimated to be 8-10 years old but still has spunk to spare. She is missing all but two of her teeth and needs a soft diet. With no teeth her cute little tongue has a tendency to stick out the side of her mouth, which coupled with her adorable face sends the cuteness meter over the edge. She has a beautiful coat that needs brushing at least every other day. She loves being brushed and will sprawl out to enjoy every minute. Chai is housebroken and does not mind being in her crate overnight to sleep but does not care to be crated during the day. When she has had enough she will let you know by barking. Chai would do best as the only dog in the home, however she does fine with our 10lb bichon-poo. It would be best that she not be in a home with large dogs, she is just way to small. A home with older children would be the only option for her due to her size and the fact that abrupt movements startle her.

Chai does have some medical issues any adopter needs to be aware of. It was found by our vet that Chai has bi-lateral luxating patellas. Anyone who adopts her would need to continue her low-cal diet of 138 calories a day to maintain her weight due to her bilateral luxating patellas. They would also need to continue her on allergy meds twice daily for sinus and skin allergies. She is on a bathing schedule with prescribed medicated shampoo and leave in conditioner.  Further updates and pictures to come.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
