Description:

Sgt. Tibbs is a real trooper! He has been through war his life and has never given up.  He will need a home that loves him for who he is!  You see Tibbs was found as a stray.  The vet said the the best of their knowledge he was hit by a car and dislocated his hip, and cause some hearing and vision loss.  Because his hip was never treated, scar tissue grew over and he learned to walk with a hitch.  But he has NO signs of deterioration or arthritis in the joints! If that wasn't enough, he was heartworm positive.  He underwent treatment and is how free of those nasty killers!  But because it was so bad, the built up scar tissue and an enlarged heart has caused him to forever have a slight cough every once in awhile.

Tibbs likes to take things slow and just mossy around the house.  He would be the perfect companion for a quiet home who just wants a couch potato of a fluff ball!  We know that perfect match is out there!

*Tibbs is a courtesy post for Happily Ever After Pet Care & Rescue and may not be microchipped

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
