Hi! My name is Tonka and I LOVE snuggles! In fact, curling up on the couch under a good blanket with you is my favorite past time. I am crate trained, housebroken, and do awesome on leash. I also know all of my basic commands and love to show them off for a yummy treat. I am a well balanced mix of medium energy in short spurts and couch potato. I get excited for the word "walk" and when we get home I will sprawl out on the floor for a quick nap. I enjoy playing rope, chewing on nylabones or antlers, and chasing down a tennis ball. In the back yard. I love to catch some sun and chase some squirrels. I have lived with other dogs, but I do best on my own. I need proper slow introductions to new dogs and I am not a fan of cats. I do well with short stays with kids, but I would ultimately love a home where I am the only baby. I am a good boy with bath time and having my nails done. I do enjoy a good pampering and looking my best to go on car rides. If you think I sound like a good fit for your home and would like to meet me, please fill out an online application. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
