Description:
Hi my name is Willow, I am approx 9 yrs old by what the Dr says. I was found on I-94 in Detroit where people thought I had been hit by a car, so they helped me and called this place LDDR, where my foster mommy agreed to take me in after having me checked at the hospital.

I am completely blind but once I know the layout of a home or yard, I get around very well. I do have minor separation issues but I have come a long way from when I first got to my foster home. I had a  hard time adjusting to my new life, my foster mommy is awesome...so awesome that I cried whenever she couldn't be near me. She said we are working on it and that I will get even better with time and work.   I got my knee surgery done on June 30th.

I know quite a few tricks and commands and I listen very well. I am low energy and prefer to be the only pet in a home. Since I am a big girl and blind, I am not  good with small children due to the possibility of accidentally knocking them down.

I would be a great dog for someone who wants a tag along buddy to hang out with! I am great on car rides! I am a very loveable and kissable girl, would you or could you be my new best friend?

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
