Description:
Spot is like no other dog you will ever meet! If you meet him you will completely fall in love with him! He is so silly, playful and fun that you can’t help but feel completely happy to be around him. He brings a smile to your face as soon as you meet him. He is energetic and loves to play fetch too. He is so lovable and just wants someone to pet and love him for the rest of his days. He is very submissive and plays great with other dogs. Spot is eager to learn and listens well. He is neutered, house trained, up to date on shots, crate trained, micro-chipped and is ready for his new home.

Spot has had a rough start to life and really deserves to have a great forever home. He was found as a stray by Animal Control in Calhoun County near Battle Creek MI.  Spot's time was up so Last Day Dog Rescue stepped up to save him. Since Spot was not given heartworm preventative by the people who owned him before he ended up heartworm positive and received heartworm treatment as of September 2013 (The foster parent will be able to provide more detailed information if needed).  Because Last Day was able to get Spot treatment, he is living heartworm free today and should not have any long term effects from this condition. He will however need to receive heartworm preventives every month for the rest of his life and not just during the warm months!  It really is no different than any other dog.  Spot cannot have an invisible fence because it may not contain him. If you would like to Adopt or meet Spot, please fill out an online application. If you have any questions, please email his foster at cbrookszy@yahoo.com

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
