Description:
Chester is a sweet, loving, boy whose only goal is to please his owner. He loves to play and chase balls but will relax and lay flat out like in his pictures. He is easily corrected and only wants to please. He knows the command sit and does pretty well on a leash. He has been good with other dogs, and loves everyone he meets. Chester was at a high kill shelter. He was picked up by a police officer and the police officer expected his family to come get him. When his family did not return for him the police officer visited Chester everyday. He was pulled by Last Day and has been here every since. He  is very submissive and a happy go lucky kind of boy. He loves attention and belly rubs. Once pulled from the shelter we found out that Chester has what is called Fluxating Patellas. This is common in some breeds of dogs. The vet said he probably had this from birth and it does not affect him in his daily activities. He loves to go for walks and play. He would love to get a family of his own to lounge around with ,go for walks, or chase balls.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
