Description:
Hello there Hoomans......My name is Cecily, but I prefer Cici! I am a 4 year old German Shepherd born 8/1/11 who loves to play with other dogs, although I can be a little shy at first until I warm up. I am great with children and my foster family says I am kid tested and approved, imagine that! I'm really good with those furry things you Hoomans call cats too. I passed my obedience training classes and know the following commands: Cici come, sit, lay down, stay, shake (paw), and bedtime! Impressed yet? Well I'm also a complete love bug who enjoys to be a couch potato but love to go for walks with my Hoomans. I am up to date on my vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped. I do have a phobia with thunderstorms and loud noises like fireworks, but who's perfect? During storms I like to go to my safe spot which I will choose in my new home, preferably in a finished basement, where I enjoy positive reinforcement such as being brushed, petted, or play with my favorite bone filled with peanut butter.....yum! Please do not try to crate me during these storms since this will make me more nervous. I do enjoy my crate at bedtime, unless I'm allowed to sleep in the bed with my Hoomans. I would do best in a fenced in yard and a furbrother or fursister to play with me. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application to get the process started and help me find my perfect furever home. See you soon! Cici

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
