Hickory and Harlow joined LDDR in March 2010.
3/25/2010: Ideally we wanted Hickory and Harlow to be adopted out together, but due to having an excellent adopter for Hickory and an excellent foster home for Harlow, we decided it would be ok to split the two brothers. They are doing great separately, and Harlow is really coming out of his shell. We are now looking for an adoptive home for sweet little Harlow. More updates on him to come!
3/5/2010: Hickory and Harlow just arrived from a gassing pound in Ohio. We will consider adopting them out separately, but think they would do best if adopted together. These two dogs are 30-35lbs, and 6-7 months old. They appear to be housebroken. They both have medium fur. The patterning on Hickory is a darker chocolate brindle with white patches. The patterning on Harlow is a lighter blonde brindle with no white. Hickory is the more dominant of the two brothers. He is the "leader" and Harlow pretty much follows him around. We will know more about Hickory soon. Right now his breed is listed as a lab/boxer mix (the pound called him a lab, and based on his personality, good family-oriented temperament, and brindle coloring, we suspect he may have boxer in him. His build is currently more like that of a very small lab though). Hickory is a very calm and less active dog, although at this point he may just be stressed/tired from the pound, transport, and vet. We will have a better idea of his energy level soon. Hickory and Harlow need a foster family to care for then until adopted. They are currently staying at a local doggy daycare.
