3/1/2010 Update:  Mattie is a lovable, gentle dog that needs a family who can give her lots of love and attention back.  She is a beautiful hound/lab mix with brindle color with chocolate undertones, about 3 years in age.  It takes her a little while to warm up to people , so her new family should be a patient one, but once she does she will not want to leave your side.  She plays great with her foster brother (a 4 month old pup) and has a great time running around the yard and playing in the snow.  You can tell she has had a rough life and is finally starting to trust that people want to treat her well and be good to her, but for now we think a family without very young children would be best.   She is gentle and almost completely housebroken.  Mattie really deserves a loving family and a safe environment to grow up in.  Please email her foster at groe6574@yahoo.com for more information.      Her adoption fee is $150
